I was reading an article this morning outlining the sales comparisons between the Motorola Xoom and the iPad2. Seems like the iPad2 is killing it.
The Xoom out-specs the iPad2 hands down, the prices are similar, and the Android environment offers a lot more freedom than iOS.
The significant difference is this: The Xoom’s not an Apple.
And Apple’s are cool.
Remember 100 years ago when the first wave of iPods started filling the pockets of Uni students? You could never actually see the iPod, but the two white strings connecting the ears of the wearer to their jeans pocket gave it away. They were the coolest.
Go on. Do it. Buy the iPad2. They’re cool.
Or get over it and buy something better.
