We all seek validation and approval in some capacity. Most of the time it is irrelevant.
If your specialty is events or information technology or advertising, why the need to seek approval from a manager whose specialty this isn’t?
If you explain the idea, rather than the product, you achieve useful feedback. If you show a product without context, you won’t.
Rather than looking to be approved, maybe you should aim to be understood.
Your organisation relies on you to be a specialist. From time to time they need you to make it about you.
